Cloud Poetry


When out plein air painting this fall in the wheat fields I witnessed this cloud formation. I appeared in the eastern sky as a series of clouds began to mass.  I was so disappointed that the morning was not going to be sunny for my painting session. But I had my sketch and continued to paint after I took photos of the unusual cloud that stood before me.

The Tall Ships


One year the tall ships visited Philly.  Yet another year I saw them in Savannah. And still another year here in Michigan at South Haven.  So feeling very, very at loose ends I painted this version in my studio. My only prayer is that no sailor or sailing expert examines the rigging too closely!
