Good Friday dawned cold, rainy and dreary. My friend and fellow artist Kelley and I were determined to plein air paint. We called one of the local greenhouses and asked permission to paint from their sheltered site. The greenhouses were warm despite the upper 30's of the outside air and the intoxicating fragrances of the Easter lilies, pansies and flats of countless flowers made us feel as if were were indeed painting en plein air. It felt great to get out of the studio and paint from life.
