Morning after morning, day after day I worked painting the wheat bales. It was kind of a love/hate relationship. Painting them at first was exciting but as the days turned to weeks I got downright tired of wheat bales. But knowing that they are merely a fleeting visitor to the harvest landscape I felt I could not miss any opportunity to paint them. Luckily the fields are huge and the vistas expansive and the compositional choices plenty.
